WTD Secures Place on NT Government Panel Contract for Remote Housing Projects
We’re excited to share a major milestone for WTD – one that highlights our continued growth and commitment to improving housing across the Northern Territory.
WTD has been awarded a position on the Northern Territory Government’s Panel Contract to deliver new builds, extensions, refurbishments, and upgrades over the next 36 months. This contract spans both the Northern and Southern Regions of the Territory and further strengthens the important work we've already been delivering across the Top End.
Expanding on a Strong Foundation
Over the years, WTD has proudly contributed to the delivery of high-quality housing in East and West Arnhem Land, as well as in the Western Region of the NT. This latest appointment represents not only a continuation of that work, but an exciting expansion into the Southern Region of the Territory – a first for our team.
This achievement also forms part of the NT Government’s $4 billion, 10-year Remote Housing Investment Program, a landmark initiative aimed at reducing overcrowding and improving living conditions in remote communities. The program is targeting the construction of up to 270 new homes each year, and we’re proud to play a role in bringing that vision to life.
A Commitment to Local Communities
At WTD, we believe that strong, sustainable construction outcomes begin with a commitment to community. That’s why, through this panel contract, we’ll continue to:
Employ and support Territorians
Partner with local businesses and suppliers
Invest in training, upskilling, and community development
Work hand-in-hand with remote communities to ensure projects meet real needs and create long-term impact
Looking Ahead
Being included on this panel is more than just a professional achievement for WTD – it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and to the strong partnerships we've built with clients, communities, and collaborators across the NT.
We’re incredibly proud to continue working alongside the NT Government and remote communities to build safe, culturally appropriate, and high-quality homes that support better living outcomes and stronger futures.
Stay tuned as we share more updates from the field – there’s plenty more to come!
