MATES

Back in the beginning of July, Andy Chapman and Josh Finn from MATES in Construction came out to Yirrkala to deliver the General Awareness Training session to our workers.

MATES are a charity organisation established back in 2008 in response to the staggering statistics found in a major report conducted on suicide rates.

The purpose of these sessions is to raise awareness on mental health and wellbeing, encourage discussions and the development of suicide prevention skills, as well as promoting early intervention and providing practical guidance on how to assist a coworker who is going through a tough time.

Suicide is everyone's business.
